SFQC are one of only two independent certification bodies able to provide certification services for the Biofertiliser Certification Scheme (BCS). Having worked closely with the Renewable Energy Association and WRAP in developing the Biofertiliser Certification Scheme, we feel it is practical and effective.
SFQC is an Edinburgh based company providing certification in four main areas; agriculture and supply, environmental operations, food processing and food consultancy. We were established in March 1995 to meet food and farming demand for independent product certification services. More recently we have developed our environmental department which includes carbon auditing, forestry work and BCS. Covering the whole of the UK and Ireland, we pride ourselves on having an in-depth understanding of the sectors which we operate in.
We adopt a professional yet pragmatic approach when working with clients. Our client base for BCS includes a wide array of businesses from on farm AD sites to global waste corporations and breweries. We work with clients on a personal basis to meet client requirement and expectations at a competitive cost. Aware that time pressures affect all businesses, we strive to maximise the integration of assessment and audit visits to save both time and money. We are currently working towards United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) accreditation for BCS, a standard we have reached for the vast majority of schemes we operate.
