A. AFS is the independent organisation set up to manage the “ Red Tractor” mark.

Q. How do I arrange for an assessment?

A. You will apply to join APS through CMi, with SFQC acting as assessor.

Q. What do I need for the assessment?

A. The assessor will contact you and will explain the scheme requirements and discuss what records will be needed on the day. A checklist can also be downloaded from the Assured Produce website.

Q. What if I do not pass my assessment?

A. The assessor will leave you with a non-conformance sheet listing the work that requires to be carried out and a time in which the work must be completed.

Q. How much does it cost?

A. Fees depend on type of crop and size of enterprise. SFQC can provide further detail to you on request.
