Monachyle Mhor hosted the first of the four FEASTS Initiatives. Considering the short notice, the event turned out to be a great success with caterers, restarateurs, chef's meeting with producers from all around the Perthshire area. In total there 40 guests with 8 producer tables set up to sample the food. Dr Mike Cantlay, Convenor of Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, chaired the event which had the informative and always entertaining brothers Tom and Dick Lewis of the Mhor brand as well as Willie Little, owner of Fish in Crieff speaking.
The speakers were excellent as was the audience with some very informative debates going on throughout.
Tom Lewis made a fantastic lunch with venison from his land, chicken from St Brides poultry and his brother, Dick, made chips from the skills he has gained since opening Mhor Fish! All in all it was an excellent day and we look forward to the next events being held around the country. Use the links on the left to see information about those.
