The voluntary Beef Labelling scheme covers fresh and frozen beef and veal at retail outlets only and excludes further processed beef/veal products e.g. burgers, recipe dishes and cooked meat, and catering outlets.  Under the scheme all claims made for Beef, which cannot be substantiated at the point of sale, must be registered with SEERAD/DEFRA or other relevant Government Agricultural Department.  Full details of the Beef Labelling Scheme can be obtained from SEERAD/DEFRA or other relevant Government Agricultural Department as appropriate to your location.
